I'm an ML-focused data scientist based in the Bay Area, currently on contract at Generate Capital, where I work with asset managers and data engineers to build and improve the data solutions that let us take informed, preemptive action on asset care. That includes an asset management platform tracking 300+ energy projects, carrying behind- and front-of-the-meter power data from Snowflake through forecasting, anomaly detection, and reporting.

I'm also pursuing my M.S. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, with a 4.0 GPA. This semester I'm taking Computer Vision and AI Ethics. Outside of class I build perception systems, most recently a camera–LiDAR BEVFusion model for 3D object detection on nuScenes and CruxCam, a pose-estimation app that analyzes rock-climbing technique.

Before Generate, I spent three years at BPM LLP building NLP pipelines, automation tools, and dashboards. Away from the keyboard, I'm usually climbing, taking photos, hiking, snowboarding, reading, or playing guitar.

  1. Data Scientist (Contractor)

    • Partner with asset managers and data engineers to build and improve data solutions that enable informed, preemptive action on asset care, translating business needs into designs that fit the existing stack and building them end to end
    • Built a full asset management system managing 300+ projects, ingesting behind- and front-of-the-meter power data into Snowflake and straight into reporting, with an Azure-hosted JavaScript front end giving the team insight into ESA contract and asset performance
    • Implemented performance forecasting and anomaly detection in the platform, enabling proactive maintenance and reducing unplanned downtime, and partnered with operations stakeholders to turn forecasts into capital planning decisions
    • Adding a feature to an internal billing tool that catches faulty performance data for manual review — building the UI, designing how data is routed underneath, setting security permissions, and working across teams to meet stakeholder needs
    • Moved Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR) calculations and multi-source data merging out of Power BI and down into dbt models in SQL, automating a manual process, improving efficiency and accuracy, and reducing the dashboard's points of failure
    • Designed and built an unplanned-maintenance impact analysis joining work-order, revenue, and site-mapping data in Snowflake, validating the pipeline end to end to catch join and duplication errors
    • Applied Poisson risk modeling, a size-independent reliability metric, and non-parametric hypothesis testing, then combined them into a rule-based triage framework documented in a written report for stakeholders

    • Engineered an NLP pipeline integrating Azure Cognitive Services and GPT-4 to summarize 100+ page transfer pricing reports, reducing analyst preparation time by ~98% (4 hours to ~5 minutes)
    • Designed and delivered Power BI dashboards tracking operational metrics, giving leadership a view of firm performance to drive resourcing and financial decisions
    • Applied fuzzy matching algorithms to reconcile invoice line items against project estimates, generating automated PDF outputs and reducing processing time from ~5 hours to under 1 minute
